Following the success of our first global taxation publication we have followed the same methodology with the addition of survey information from the top 100 Partners. This allows us to understand far more about the motivations, circumstances and remuneration of the Partners who moved that year.
In every jurisdiction, the most significant market focus was large multinationals, which accounted for 39% of the moves analysed globally. In Asia Pacific, over 50% of the Partners who moved worked with large multinationals.
The gender gap widened in 2017 compared to the results from our 2016 report; globally 78% of movers were male, up from 70% in 2016.
